There has been a recent initiative to improve the communications between, and awareness of, the many radio clubs, groups and societies in Kent. An informal co-ordinating group, the Kent Radio Society Alliance has been set up with this aim. All groups in the alliance welcome visitors to their meetings and would be particularly pleased to see members of other Kent radio clubs, groups and societies.
Current members of the alliance are:
Dover Amateur Radio Club meet every Thursday at 19:00 in St Peter and St Paul’s church hall, Minnis lane. River, Dover CT17 0RG
BRATS meet every weds at 7pm in the Shack behind The Bell PH in Bredhurst ME7 3JY
East Kent Radio Society meets at 7PM on the second and fourth Wednesday’s of the month, at Herne Windmill, Mill Lane, Herne, CT6 7DR
West Kent ARS meets at Bidborough Village Hall on the second Monday of each month, Bidborough Ridge, TN3 0XD.
Hilderstone Radio Society meets at 19.00 on the 1st, 3rd and occasional 5th Thursday of each month at the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum Community Room, Manston Rd, Manston, Ramsgate CT12 5DF
